Shhh.. M. Robinson Released Sept 1 2014

Private message Jettie on FB to be let in the back door of her private group where the release day party for Mack's side will be held.

My name is McKenzie Perry. I’ve lived a life filled with secrets. Secrets that took me years to understand.
Secrets that my bestie, Gia, and I kept from the world. Secrets that only I knew. I wasn’t afraid of the lies,
the secrets, or the hidden skeletons. That’s not what frightened me. I was afraid that one day they would come out, somebody would find out the truth. If I am the only one that knew the secrets, the lies, then they were safe, right?

It took several years for me to understand the impact of lies. Lies I told, secrets I kept, and the lives they controlled. One of the things I know to be true is I did the things I did for a reason, even if I didn’t know it at the time.

They all had a reason.

My name is Mack and this is my side of the story.

Jettie Woodruff is a lifelong writer, living in a pretend world since she was a little girl. Jettie spent hours filling pages of spiral notebooks with a number two pencil and a wild imagination. Her very first story was a scifi of all things.
Jettie writes more along the lines of erotica now. She likes to keep her readers on edge, and deliver a story that will pull out every emotion possible. Writing on the edge of taboo and dark, Jettie hopes to distribute an adventure you'll not soon forget.

Married for twenty five years, raising two boys and one girl has left lots of writing material. She has recently become a grandma to not one, but two of the most beautiful little girls on planet earth.

Jettie also hates doing this bio. That's all you get. She loves to read and write. What else is there? <3

Have you ever lied? Held secrets? Betrayed someone?
I have.
McKenzie and I were best friends, soul sisters. We shared everything…or so she thought. To everyone I was perfect and happy. No one knew the real me. That was until I saw him. Everything changed the second we laid eyes on each other. The world stopped moving and only we existed in it. But it just added to the secrets and lies, it became too much and I couldn’t tell apart what was real and what wasn’t.
This story is for anyone who has ever lied and lived to regret it…

I'll Fly Away Wally Lamb and the Women of York Prison

I'll Fly Away: Further Testimonies from the Women of York PrisonI'll Fly Away: Further Testimonies from the Women of York Prison by Wally Lamb
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'll fly away is something I've secretly said to myself, throughout my life. Also I've read Piper's book and watched "Orange is the New Black", so those are my determining factors when I picked up this book. I wondered about my friends in jail, and how I managed to escape the Law...

Wally Lamb is not just an editor, he teaches the women in NY prison how to write. I was really impressed to read about his contributions! These women worked hard, it shows when you read what they wrote. I read through the book so fast, it all flowed and I related to many of them. Many of the reasons the women were (and are) in the prison were after effects of being abused.
"In tears, I stare up at the night sky. "Hi. It's me." I am speaking aloud. "If anyone's up there, I need your help. I love him, but I'm not strong enough. It's been bad for months and it keeps getting worse. So I'm asking for a favor. Please let me die. I don't want it to be painful. Just let me go to sleep and not wake up." II Torn Pants, Empty Sky 1998 Charrissa Willette
This is a statement I have made dozens of time, and when I read this it hit me rock hard in the heart. Char as a 14 year old, gets picked up by an 18 year old boy...(at that age, I thought it was cool too) and her first relationship with this man (who raped her) ends up her last and lands her in prison years later.. although he abused her.
Why are we jailing abused women, who kill in self defense?A lot of women are hopeless either stuck in prison for numerous years or life, all their golden years spent in a prison... for things like drugs, abuse and things that could have been avoided.

"I'll Fly Away" just touched my heart, and I encourage anyone to read the words of the women from NY Prison. One woman on the outside, lives the same as on the inside.

Confessions of a redneck zombie killing psycho

Confessions of a Red Neck Zombie Killing Psycho (Tasty Trio, #1)Confessions of a Red Neck Zombie Killing Psycho by L.R. Currell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The Surviving Characters: Buck Grisham "Suck it up and be a Leader",Tammy Grisham, his "Seriously Suspicious Sister" and his wife Denny Grisham Fitzpatrick "Princess Peeper Annie Oakley" from Casper, Wyoming.
The trio are mighty, powerful zombie ass kickers! The women are very proficient with weapons. Buck (a former Marine), was a contender in the UFC! Oh yea and he was a firefighter!  Decision making is a little harder... for this trio...

A Short Story about Surviving in the Zombie Apocalypse:  The trio nearly escaped a large herd on the road, and lost 1/2 their party in a matter of minutes. Now, looking for safety and a place to relax, they wind up in a backwoods redneck location on their way toward Mexico. "My feet feel like they are going to fall off, complained Denny, who did Zumba classes 3x a week, spin classes and pilates....".  Buck tells Denny to shut it, just before Tammy was going to pipe in about her whining, but they hear some noise.  "Music,"whispered Denny."  They come upon a scraggly dude trying to play Nirvana on an Electric Guitar... Electric? How? Everyone knows the electricity is dead, so they must have a generator..  Aren't they worried about attracting zombies??
And so Buck, Tammy and Denny meet the brothers Taylor, (Chris and Hank).
"For a brief moment Buck got a premonition of the ax lifting up and smashing down on his skull.  Buck could see his sister moved to the side of them. She had observed something that she did not like and was ready to blast the man if needed."
Something is really off about these 2 boys and our party is about to find out..

Apparently other people found a lot of grammar mistakes.. I'm really not the type to notice them.
I gave three stars: Why? They story was predictable and campy because...
First of all Rednecks and Cannibals are just a known combination.  I knew right away something was wrong with the Taylor brothers, and the trio would not listen to their inner voices!!! So many red flags, (The first is the quote above).  I felt like watching a B rated horror movie.  Usually the blond, big boobed, woman runs up the stairs instead of out of the door to safety...
. "Yea we're doing a reconnaissance mission for our father," offered Buck..."He send's his son, his daughter and his son's wife, didn't she say there was an uncle or even other male relatives?" asked Charlie aloud in a puzzled tone.  Hank shot him a look that would have quietened a polar bear."

We have a situation of Brawn over Brains here. Except for Tammy who was stuck because of her brother. As the story moves along, there are many more red flags that stand out.

The trio is getting settled in the barn and Denny see's..

"Hank staring at both her and Denny with his mouth wide open.  His chest rose and fell as he stood there staring, his eyes dilated as though he was in a trance.  Tammy realized then that her panties were showing out the top of her pants, she pulled them up as Hank cheekily winked at her."

My favorite part was when Charlie cooked dinner for everyone and Denny asks "What meat is this?", she asked as she swallowed it.  Charlie blinked at her and replied bluntly, "Possum"...."There aren't too many Taco Bell's out this way Miss," he replied with a snigger and Tammy couldn't help but laugh as well.  Do you really think it was possum?

I felt the end of the story just fell off a cliff.  It just stopped.  Tammy rescues Buck from fighting off zombies as amusement for Hank, and then they wonder where Charlie and Denny are??

But the good news is, there are 2 more books in this series:
Tasty Trio: 1.Confessions of a redneck zombie killing psycho
                  2.Dead Horse Named Caleb
                  3.Soul Consumer

So although it was a fun quick read. There are a lot of zombies to contend with.

The author gave me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Devil's Dream David Beers

The Devil's DreamThe Devil's Dream by David Beers
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Matthew Brand... A desperate father who wants to reunite with his son or a mad scientist and serial killer??

"The Wall would keep the people you couldn't kill away from society. Forever.  The one's that you couldn't let die, for whatever reason, but couldn't let live either, they would be kept behind the Wall for as long as needed."  "A building that stretched across an acre and inside it held 3 men." A building that was supposed to be inescapable.

Matthew Brand was one of the people in the Wall, well until he escaped after 10 years of being in a Silo.  Now only 2 remained.  Arthur Morgant (a rapist) was immune to the AIDS virus and someone else who's name escaped me at the moment, but don't worry he's still there.

The Devil's Dream was written by Jeffery Dillon.  The book was about Matthew Brand's side of the story and the two collaborated on it.
This story and thus this book, is a love story between a father and his son, and the depths that such love could take them.  I didn't know when I began writing.  I thought Matthew Brand was insane and the cops were probably criminals.  Maybe Matthew Brand is insane, but if so, love brought him there.  I dedicate this book to the four cops that lost their lives.  I dedicate this book to the person who killed those cops, Matthew Brand, who lost his son.
Jeffery wanted to write another book and conveniently turns on TV and see's Matthew Brand Escapes "This is your book, right here, Jeffery. You don't have to wait until he's caught to write it."Alecia (his agent) says.  Jeffery goes on a quest to find out where Brand is going to set up shop, and who his next victims will be.  Jeffery has done extensive research and probably knows Brand better than anyone, he already has a clue as to what Brand's plan is.  This places him in a tough situation... because if he tells the info to the Feds... no book.  Yet he has a conscious.

Meanwhile, Agent Allison Moore was tasked to find Matthew Brand. Hopefully her husband and daughter would understand that this was big, bigger than anything she'd done before. She had to go, and could possibly be gone for a month or more. Her first stop was to visit The Wall..

Matthew's first stop was to call Rally his ex-wife, his weak spot, to tell her he was bringing his son back and then continue on with his mission.

I thought that the first part of this book was slow because of the multiple points of view between the characters and the back story about Matthew Brand.  But once Matthew got to work on his plan the suspense nabbed me.  Nothing happened the way I thought it would turn out in my head, there are some great twists and turns! All the characters eventually meet each other in different weird life changing ways and the ending blew me away.. I had to get the second book.. I couldn't handle the end!

The King #4 Ben Dixon and Sam Campbell

King (Red Dust, #4)King by Ben Dixon and Sam Campbell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The King is the Sequel to
Red Dust  The Fall by Ben Dixon
Red Dust:The Fall

This book has one story, and it starts off with General Bulmer of the Union Army and Griffin talking.  They are in the midst of The Civil War with the added danger of Zombies!
General Bulmer wants Griffin to hunt down Ethan King who is the Leader of Kingstown,(which we visited in "The Last Rider" in Red Dust).  Bulmer wants King dead since he's an Outlaw and he's been allowed to Reign too long and Bulmer's own men are deserting him... OUCH.  He also needs the space for a tactical advantage, the key to the western flank of the Civil War, for his troops.  He wants Griff to tell King to surrender and his people will be under immunity, although King would still get knocked off anyways.
The Confederate Army is Flanking the Grant line west of Kentucky and they need fortification that will allow them to hold the Risers(Zombies) at bay and to keep those Yanks from pushing the line.  Bulmer tried to bribe Griff, but Griff is more concerned about the Riser's because that's his real specialty, he doesn't want to get involved in the War at all.

The Battle at Kingstown angers King and he vows to get revenge... also King has this new thought:
For the first time since the World had fallen to the Rising Plague,  Ethan King was gripped by a strange, new sense of responsibility that he had not known before.  He knew now, he would not only kill for these people, he would die for them.

He realizes that once his built his own city, he started caring for his people and wants to protect them from harm.  So remember Dr. Tremain and Dan?? King tells him to lead the people to safety in the North East, where they will reunite after all the fun festivities!

I loved this story, I changed my about Mr. King.  Griffin is a mysterious man but he's entwined in all of the stories so far because I love looking for details and figuring out puzzles. The Characters are amazing, and in each story we find out a little more about them.  I love also the theme of the Ol' West and Zombies, and also in the midst of the Civil War... although my prediction is the Zombies will win that war and people will scramble to safety..  Griff mentions "Where are all the Zombies?? They have been manageable so far.. but with the cannon fire it should attract more by the noise.....

Can't wait for the NEXT Installment!!!

It is a refreshing breeze against all the Erotic Novels, and Paranormal Romance going around the reading circuits.  Sundari is also as sweet as her books, I had a great time talking to her, and she is very approachable if you'd like to get in touch or have any questions for her.

The Blurb
The young and dashing Rahul Sinha lives in England with his parents, Shyam and Rajni. He is an only son of the rich banker. Rahul is totally attached to his father but does not care for his mother. Read the book to find out why….
Rahul is exulted with his efforts at work paying off and plans a holiday with his best friend Sanjay Srivastav who lives in Mumbai with his wife Reema, kids Sanya and Rehaan and most importantly, his sister, Meghna. Rahul recalls meeting Meghna just before they parted six years ago.
Meghna works for a website and also teaches modern dance as she loves it. She’s thrown for a toss when Rahul comes visiting. She had thought he had forgotten them.

But how could Rahul do that? Sanjay’s his best friend and Rahul had always treated their home as his own. Sanjay’s mother had been more of a mother to Rahul than his own. Rahul had stayed away after moving to England or so Meghna believes.

Thus begins the story between Rahul and Meghna, the teasing, the flirting, the anger, the tears… …will they find love?

A FRIENDLY WARNING: This book has been written only for the purpose of Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment! The Author's Thoughts

Even as a kid, she absolutely loved the 'lived happily ever after' syndrome as Sundari grew up reading all the fairy tales she could lay her hands on, Phantom comics, Mandrake comics and the like. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy end. Soon, into her teens, she switched her attention from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualizing what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to a local hero and heroine.

Her imagination took flight and she always lived in a rosy cocoon of romance over the years. Then came the writing - a true bolt out of the blue! She could never string two sentences together. While her spoken English had always been excellent - thanks to her Grandpa - she could not write to save her life. She was bad at writing essays in both school and college. Later, when it was time to teach her kids, she could manage everything from Science to Mathematics and History & Geography.

When it came to writing compositions, her kids found her of no help at all. All this changed suddenly one fine day in the year 2000. She had just quit her job at a school's office and did not know what to do with her life. She was saturated with simply reading books. That's when she got home one evening after her walk and took some sheets of paper and began writing. It was like watching a movie that was running in her head - all those years of visualizing Indian heroes and heroines needed an outlet and had to be put into words. That's how her first novel, The Malhotra Bride, took shape.

While she felt discouraged when publishing did not happen, it was her husband who kept encouraging her not to give up. There was no looking back after that. While publishing took a long time happening, Sundari continued to write novels and then short stories. Her luck turned when Indireads approached her to write for them and Double Jeopardy was born.

Now it’s all about self-publishing her books on Amazon. She has published The Malhotra Bride (2nd Edition) and Meghna so far while planning to publish her fourth book - The Runaway Bridegroom -  in September 2014.
